D-Link announced the Cloud Camera 5000 (DCS-5222L), offering surveillance capabilities with 720p HD recording, smooth pan/tilt and digital zoom functionality, integrated motion-sensing and night-vision technology. With the free mydlink app users can monitor a home or business anywhere, anytime, with an iPhone, iPad or Android device. The camera includes a microSD card slot for recording snapshots or video without the need for a computer or separate network storage drive.

The versatile Cloud Camera 5000 features a high quality 1.0 lux CMOS sensor for exceptional picture quality even in low-light conditions and built-in Ethernet and Wireless N connectivity options for flexible placement almost anywhere. Allowing users to remotely adjust and control the camera's view to see up to 340 degrees — 170 degrees on each side — and delivering 720p high-definition video at speeds of up to 30 fps (frame per second); the camera provides crisp and clear live HD video streams. The motorized pan/tilt controls and 4x digital zoom allow users to monitor a large area and zoom to view fine details, and the Passive Infra-red (PIR) sensor detects movement in the area and can trigger an email alert and video recordings. In addition, the Cloud Camera 5000 can be preset to automatically view specific locations and comes with a remote control, allowing the camera to monitor a wide area.

D-Link DCS-5222L Cloud Camera 5000

With simple installation and an intuitive web-based interface, consumers can easily integrate the Cloud Camera 5000 into an existing network and view streaming video from a PC, notebook, iPhone, iPad or Android phone or tablet. With the mydlink app for iPhone and Android, users can quickly and easily see and hear the camera's feed from anywhere with Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G connection. The mydlink+ app for iPad or Android tablets allows users to remotely monitor live video streams via a multi-camera monitoring dashboard and even save snapshots.

D-Link claims connecting the Cloud Camera 5000 with any router is easy; however, D-Link Zero Configuration simplifies the process even further with the push of a button or simple plug of an Ethernet cable. Available on all D-Link Cloud Routers and Cloud Cameras, Zero Configuration technology enables automatic configuration and intelligent syncing of a D-Link camera. Simply push a button on the D-Link Cloud Camera 5000 as well as your D-Link Cloud Router and the camera automatically connects to your home network and intelligently synchs with network and mydlink settings. Setup with Zero Configuration is as easy as connect and view.
