Creative Delivers Stage Pro Under-Monitor Soundbar for Small Spaces, Low Price

For $169, Creative Stage Pro offers immersive TV or desktop audio with SuperWide sound expansion, wired subwoofer and HDMI-ARC.

Creative Stage Pro Under Monitor Soundbar

Creative Technology isn’t shy about flooding the market with soundbars—more models than some bigger names. For 2025, their latest is the Stage Pro, a 2.1-channel system with a wired subwoofer designed to deliver cinematic sound without hogging space.

While it works in the living room, the Stage Pro really shines as a desktop companion. At just under 22-inches wide it’s perfectly sized to sit in front of your monitor and fill a small room with immersive, powerful audio. It’s tuned to deliver punchy, clear sound that suits everything from gaming to streaming, giving your setup a serious upgrade without cluttering your desk.

Creative Stage Pro can be used as a TV soundbar as well.

The Stage Pro is built for people who live across multiple screens—whether you’re cranking music, binging YouTube, or deep into a gaming session. It’s a solid all-around desktop audio solution that handles every one of those use cases with ease, delivering rich sound that keeps you fully immersed without needing a massive setup.

The Stage Pro’s biggest win is how it maximizes limited desktop space without sacrificing sound quality. Its sleek, compact design cuts down on clutter and cables, while the separate wired subwoofer—designed to tuck neatly under your desk—handles the heavy bass. The result is an immersive audio experience that leaves your workspace clean and your ears fully satisfied.

SuperWide: The Ultimate Solution for Expansive, Immersive Audio Experiences

creative-stage-pro-super-wide

The secret behind the Stage Pro’s immersive sound is SuperWide—Creative’s proprietary soundstage-expansion technology. It pushes audio beyond the physical boundaries of the compact soundbar, creating a surprisingly large and spatial listening experience. The result? Room-filling sound that belies its small size, giving you far more presence and depth than you’d expect from such a compact package.

Small But Powerful: Creative Stage Pro’s 160W Sound Performance

The Creative Stage Pro produces a solid 160 watts of output, combining custom-tuned full-range drivers with a dedicated long-throw subwoofer. It handles everything from detailed dialogue to dynamic gaming effects, delivering clear and balanced sound across all types of content.

Dolby Audio

The Stage Pro includes Dolby Audio, featuring Dolby Digital Plus support. This ensures clear dialogue, natural tonal balance, and enhanced detail across movies, games, and music—improving overall audio clarity and realism.

Listening Modes

The Stage Pro offers two listening modes tailored to your environment:

  • Near Field Mode: Optimized for close-range listening, ideal for desktop setups and gaming stations.
  • Far Field Mode: Designed to deliver room-filling sound, perfect for larger spaces and living rooms.

Connectivity

The Stage Pro offers a range of connection options, including HDMI ARC for easy TV audio integration and HDMI-CEC for controlling the soundbar with your TV remote. Additional inputs include Optical-inAUX-in, and USB audio. Wireless streaming is supported via Bluetooth 5.3, enabling direct playback from mobile devices and music apps.

For gaming, the Stage Pro works seamlessly with Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 by connecting these consoles to your TV via HDMI, then sending audio to the Stage Pro through the TV’s HDMI ARC port.

Comparison

Creative offers a wide range of soundbars (see our list below this chart), so covering them all would require multiple comparison tables. The Stage 360, released earlier, is the closest model to the Stage Pro in terms of features and price.

Creative also offers six additional soundbar models in the SXFI  and Sound Blaster lines:

The Bottom Line

The Stage Pro is the newest member of Creative’s Stage soundbar lineup, which now totals six models—plus six more across their SXFI and Sound Blaster series. Their offerings cover everything from desktop and gaming setups (Sound Blaster line) to mixed gaming and entertainment use (Stage line).

Among these, the Stage Pro and the earlier Stage 360 are the most comparable. Interestingly, Creative swapped out Dolby Atmos on the Pro in favor of their own SuperWide soundstage-expansion technology, though Dolby Audio and Dolby Digital Plus remain included.

Another key difference: the Pro has a single HDMI input with ARC, while the 360 offers three HDMI ports (one with ARC). The Pro supports USB and 3.5mm analog inputs for more flexible connections, whereas the 360’s USB port is firmware-only and lacks analog input.

Both models use wired subwoofers, which might restrict placement options and add some cable clutter.

Still, both the Stage Pro and Stage 360 deliver exceptional value for their price points. For those considering alternatives, the Razer Leviathan V2 is another solid option that performs well in desktop and gaming environments.

Price & Availability

The Creative Stage Pro is available now for $169.99 at Creative.com and should be available on Amazon beginning August 19, 2025.

The Creative Stage 360 is selling for $149.99 at Amazon.

When you consider how large the gaming category is, I can’t believe other high end loudspeaker manufacturers have not taken advantage of the opportunity to offer something similar. Industry is leaving so much money on the table.
