In an age when vivid, big-screen image display has become so essential to business, education, and many other fields, Canon has once again increased the price-performance impact of its affordable LV Series of LCD-based Multimedia Projectors. Three new compact, feature-packed models- the LV-7265, LV-7260, and LV-X7 Multimedia Projectors- all deliver bright, high-quality XGA images, and provide users with a stellar blend of an extremely short throw distance, and a powerful yet versatile 1.6x Canon wide-angle zoom lens. The product of genuine Canon Optics, this new seven-group projection lens provides greater flexibility in projector placement. The combination of the short throw distance and optical zoom of these three new projectors adapt to many environments, which is an essential feature for classrooms, conference rooms of almost any size, and other situations that require bright, “large-screen,” high-fidelity images. Canon’s new LV-7265, LV-7260, and LV-X7 Multimedia Projectors are well-suited for presenting graphics and video from laptop computers, video from DVDs and VCRs, or live images from the Canon RE-455X Visualizer. These new LV Series projectors can also easily connect to Canon digital camcorders and digital cameras for fast, seamless video projection. Incorporating a fresh, new design, Canon’s LV-7265, LV-7260, and LV-X7 Multimedia Projectors offer a host of new features for great display performance and convenient operation.

“Our customers not only expect advanced features in their projectors that enable them to make great presentations, they also want innovative user-friendliness and flexible placement options that makes delivering an impactful presentation easier,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “These new LV-7265, LV-7260 and LV-X7 Multimedia Projectors satisfy both needs because they’re affordably engineered to provide crisp, clear, and bright images for presentation audiences and versatile ease-of use for the presenters themselves.”

Canon’s new LV-7265, LV-7260 and LV-X7 Multimedia Projectors output high-quality XGA (1024 x 768) resolution imagery and also support UXGA (1600 x 1200) and SXGA (1280 x 1024) resolution display through high-quality compression. The top-of-line LV-Series LV-7265 Multimedia Projector delivers a powerful 2500 ANSI Lumen (the LV-7260 Multimedia Projector provides 2000 ANSI lumens, the LV-X7 Multimedia Projector 1500 ANSI lumens). The LV-7265 and LV-7260 Multimedia Projectors also feature a contrast ratio of 600:1 (with 500:1 provided by the LV-X7 Multimedia Projector).

The LV-7265 Multimedia Projector offers a host of features usually found only on far more expensive models. Such features include a high-speed DVI-I interface, which provides an all-digital connection between the LV-7265 Multimedia Projector and digital video or computer input sources. DVI-I maintains the integrity of the digital signal from source to screen, providing audiences with optimum quality. This means that there is no flickering, blurred lines, ghost images, or coloration problems with text display. The DVI-I interface includes a pixel clock to accurately reconstruct the timing of the digital signal. Other LV-7265 Multimedia Projector connectors include a VGA output terminal for an external (optional) video monitor, and an audio output. All three projectors provide S-Video, Composite, Component (through the VGA terminal via an optional cable), a VGA input, and audio input.

Engineered for a range of users and budgets, the LV-7265, LV-7260, and LV-X7 Multimedia Projectors offer many price-performance enhancements designed to enhance operation and ease of use. These include Quick Start and Quick Cooling for faster set-up and break-down of presentations. All three models will illuminate in only eight seconds and cool down in approximately 30 seconds, so the projectors can be put away quickly after the presentation ends. An automatic power-off timer lets users select any period between 30 minutes and 16 hours, which maximizing power management and energy efficiency.

All three projectors also feature: Flexible Image Settings with five automatic image modes (Presentation, Video, Cinema, Standard, sRGB) and manual settings for each mode to create custom presets; Enhanced Wall Color Correction for projecting on blackboards, walls, or partitions (eight different adjustments are available); an improved control panel that’s easier than ever, with icons that match the wireless remote; a User-Friendly On-Screen Menu inspired by Canon’s advanced REALiS Multimedia Projector line, this updated list of on-screen adjustments are clearly labeled, allowing users to change settings quickly and easily (in one of 16 different languages); an Automatic Power Off Timer with eight selectable pre-sets to program the LV-7265, LV-7260, and LV-X7 Multimedia Projectors to turn-off at specified times; Automatic Vertical Keystone Adjustment for the LV-7265 Multimedia Projector (the LV-7260 and LV-X7 models feature manual vertical keystone adjustment); quiet operation; ideal for small conference rooms, fan noise can be reduced to just 29dB on the LV-7265 and the LV-7260 and 25dB on the LV-X7; a long-life lamp offering 3000 hours of operation on the LV-7265 and LV-7260 Multimedia Projectors, and 4000 hours on the LV-X7; and Wireless Mouse Control, which is ideal for presentations and allows the remote controller of these Multimedia Projectors to be used just like a computer mouse.
