BDI Sector 7527 Modern Media Console with TV (Strata)

Modern TV Console For Any Sound Bar

The BDI Sector 7527 Console is an A/V cabinet for a media room that looks like it could match the decor of any room. And that’s a good thing! The Sector 7527 console offers up a unique minimalist look with no visible drawers and doors. Instead, the entire front panel is cleverly designed to open downward, which enables this very sleek look.

Sound Bar Ready

The Sector 7527 is designed with sound bar owners in mind. Its internal extra-wide top shelf offers plenty of space for just about any sized sound bar, including Sonos Playbar as shown in the photo. Meanwhile, a lower-level shelf is ideal for unsightly A/V equipment such as blu-ray players, game consoles, cable boxes, and routers.

The Design

The BDI Sector 7527 is 63-inches wide and stands 26.5-inches tall. It can accommodate TVs up to 70-inches in diagonal. Inside are two levels of shelving allowing for 6.5-inches of clearance respectively.

A perforated metal door, lined with a thin black fabric covers the entire front. So from the outside you see the perforated metal, but when the door is open you see the fabric side. Both are sound/remote (IR) transparent even though the front appears visually opaque when closed.

BDI Sector 7527 Media Console Open Angle (Strata)

Rounding out the design are powder coated steel legs that are angled slightly inward which seem to promote a floating appearance. Colorwise there are two options, either grayish woodgrain called Strata or chocolatey brown called Sepia. Both finishes are comprised of thermally fused laminate for extra durability. There is no cost difference between colors.

Features

It’s rare to talk about furniture with features. However, there’s a few more things of note. The rear of the cabinet has removable back panels and integrated cable management. A TV safety strap is included to prevent a flat panel television from tipping forward. Finally, hidden levelers on the metal legs ensure there’s no wobbling in the case of uneven floors.
