AVAD Forges Partnership with Artison to Distribute Home Theater System Solutions Nationwide

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL — June 14, 2005 — AVAD LLC, the preeminent distributor of custom home technology products, announces its new affiliation with Artison, a world leader in advanced audio speakers for home theaters. Under the new agreement, AVAD will commence distributing Artison’s highly-acclaimed speaker systems through its vast network of custom installers nationwide. AVAD will stock Artison’s unique Portrait and Sketch Home Theater Systems, both speaker systems designed specifically for use with flat panel televisions. This new alliance is expected to enhance the distribution of Artison’s products within the custom installation market and affirm AVAD’s continuing expansion efforts and attention to the needs of its dealers.

More than just a distribution point, AVAD will act as Artison’s supply chain partner, creating a nationally consistent marketing plan that focuses efforts locally to build brand presence among Electronic Systems Contractors. In addition, AVAD will provide the brand’s dealers with product training, complete technical support, and fast and easy inventory access for more responsive customer service, improved turns, and higher profits.

“We’re pleased to team up with Artison and Cary Christie, one of the world’s leading loudspeaker designers,” stated Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD. “We are confident that this partnership will enhance Artison’s brand position and growth efforts through the custom installation channel.”

“We’re very excited to have a trusted name like AVAD behind our efforts to provide installers nationwide with real solutions to expanding their home theater systems,” said Cary Christie, president and founder of Artison. “Clearly, we realize the value-added benefits AVAD provides through their educational programs and initiatives like AVAD’s Dealer to Builder program,” Christie added.

Artison’s Sketch and Portrait series of products are designed to complement Flat Panel Monitors, LCD, DLP and CRT Televisions. Numerous new technologies have been integrated into both the Portrait and Sketch Home Theater Speaker Systems. These technologies provide for a lifelike widening of the front sound stage, and eliminate the need for a separate center channel box above or below the screen. The DualMono Center speakers deliver accurate center channel sound that appears to come directly from the center of the television screen. A complete Portrait Home Theater System consists of two LCR (Left, Center, Right) Speakers and two or more LRS or LRS-IW Surround Satellites. Both systems faithfully reproduce music and movie sound tracks without compromise, and do not visually detract from the contemporary appearance of a flat panel or rear projection display.

Portrait speakers deliver the highest level of performance, while providing a product that satisfies the needs of today’s lifestyle oriented customer. For use with DVD, DTS, SACD (Super Audio CD and Versatile Disc Audio), this system employs innovative new technologies with several Patents Pending. The LCR front speakers can be mounted to a plasma monitor for a seamless installation or can be used with the Portrait Tower Stand to create a floor standing speaker system for use in any home theater application.

Sketch delivers a more affordable solution for use with the new generation of Micro Display Rear Projection Televisions and Flat Panel Monitors. The Sketch LCR (Left, Center, Right) is also designed to attach directly to plasma displays using the same DualMono technology. The Sketch Tower is sleek and stylish, integrating two LCR speakers in two attractive floor stands. Both speakers are a high performance choice for state-of-the-art DVD, DTS, SACD, and DVDA multi-channel audio formats.

Artison`s products are designed by Cary Christie, one of the world`s leading loudspeaker designers. Mr. Christie was one of the original founders of Infinity Systems Inc., where he provided much of the creative product leadership, and was responsible for the development of many innovative technologies. Most recently, he was President and Principal Designer for Acoustic Research (AR). Mr. Christie continues to pursue his love for the art of sound, constantly striving for excellence through his dedication to the advancement of high quality audio reproduction.
