Meridian Audio distributor to add acclaimed video line
Huntingdon, UK, November 3, 2005–Internationally-acclaimed luxury home entertainment manufacturer Meridian Audio Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of its existing audio products distributor, Aralex Acoustics Ltd of Coquitlam, BC, as the distributor in Canada for its new line of Faroudja video projectors and processors, effective December 1, 2005.
Well-known internationally for decades as a manufacturer of high-quality audio systems and, more recently, award-winning DVD players and surround-sound installations, Meridian earlier this year became the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of the acclaimed Faroudja brand of video products — such as the DILA1080pHD projector and DVP1080 video processor, both of which offer 1080p full-bandwidth High Definition performance.
“It made complete sense for us to work with one Canadian distributor for both our audio and video products,” said
Colin Aldridge, Meridian’s Sales & Marketing Director, “and it was evident that Aralex Acoustics, which has put so much work into selling our products over the past eight years and has made impressive headway over the last 12 months, would be an ideal choice to handle both brands,” Aldridge went on. “We regard the Canadian market as being particularly ripe for development, with a strong economy and a clear interest in high-quality audio and video products.”
Aralex Acoustics will begin to handle Faroudja products on December 1, 2005. Manufacture and precision calibration of Faroudja products, which include the DILA788 projector as well as the DILA1080 and DVP1080, has already begun and the first British-made Faroudja video products are now shipping.
