World leader in IPTV technology to join panel discussion on the reinvention of advertising among service providers

Amino, the world leading IPTV platform supplier, will preview a concept of its newest high definition (HD) product, the PVR-capable AmiNET530 at the 2007 NAB Show in Las Vegas. In addition to product demonstrations, Rick Sailor, Vice President of Sales, Americas for Amino will be featured as a speaker at the IPTV World Conference within the NAB Show, taking part in a panel discussion entitled “Reinventing Advertising” on Wednesday, April 18 at 5:30pm (Las Vegas Convention Center S219/220).

During this presentation, Rick along with other industry experts, will explore how service operators are exploiting new alternatives to traditional 30-sec spot advertising, such as Video-on-Demand, interactive television and micro-channels, and how cable, satellite and broadcasters are responding to the challenge.

Last year, Amino was the recipient of the 2006 NAB award for Innovation in Media and the only STB vendor honored in the Content Delivery category. Last month, ABI Research declared Amino the world’s leading seller of IPTV STBs for the second consecutive year. This accolade recognizes Amino’s expanding footprint in emerging markets, as well as within the growing US market.

“It’s an exciting time for IPTV service providers as we are witnessing an expanding universe of entertainment, information and communications services,” said Rick Sailor at Amino. “This idea of multiplay – the movement towards any content, any device, any time, any place, any provider – introduces many diverse opportunities for new solutions including the bundling of services and applications. As a proven leader in this space, Amino is committed to continuing its development of products and technology that connect the consumer to this expanding universe of services and devices.”

Amino will demonstrate the following solutions at exhibitor booth #C2243:

AmiNET530, a preview of the next-generation PVR IPTV STB with HD capabilities as well as other features including MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 (H.264) video codecs, alpha blending and the use of international fonts.

AmiNET125, the leading standard definition multi-codec STB designed for IPTV and Internet TV applications. With an Ethernet input and highly flexible audio and video outputs, the AmiNET125 provides a powerful means of delivering sophisticated interactive digital television that may be used with a wide range of home networking products. Its highly integrated chipset and agile codec creates a platform ready for future enhancement.

AmiNET130, the advanced HD H.264 (MPEG4/AVC) IPTV STB providing service providers a cost effective means to deliver end-to-end digital HDTV as multicast, on-demand video and multi-room IPTV services. With the support of HD video, end users receive an exciting and dramatic viewing experience, with greater clarity and detail especially in large display formats.

“We look forward to introducing our technology to those who have just started investing in IPTV technology, as well as bringing existing Amino customers up to speed on the latest enhancements,” said Rick Sailor at Amino. “As the evolution of television continues to move forward, consumers are demanding more services and devices that will keep the television at the center of their home entertainment experience. The NAB event is the perfect opportunity for us to show our target markets how Amino’s IPTV STBs have become the technology point of convergence.”
