Unboxing Sony’s Soundbar Killer: The BRAVIA Theatre Quad

Sony’s BRAVIA Theatre Quad with SA-SW5 subwoofer offers an advanced and stylish option for wireless home theater sound.

Sony BRAVIA Theatre QUAD Speaker System with Subwoofer Lifestyle

Looking for better TV and movie sound at home without the complexity or wire mess of an A/V receiver and speakers? Then check out Sony’s BRAVIA Theatre Quad ($2,499), which includes four sleek wireless speakers that work in-conjunction with an optional (but not really optional) powered subwoofer ($599) that can elevate your TV viewing and music listening simply and easily. If you want higher performance than a soundbar, with superior separation, immersion and dynamics, then the BRAVIA Theatre Quad may be just what the home theater doctor ordered.

Sony BRAVIA Theatre QUAD Wireless Speakers with Controller

The Sony BRAVIA Theatre Quad features 504 Watts of amplification driving four front-firing 3-way speakers plus up-firing full-range drivers on each speaker for fully immersive sound in Dolby Atmos, IMAX Enhanced with DTS:X or Sony 360 Reality Audio. The Quad is technically a “4.1.4-channel” system with the subwoofer, but thanks to Sony 360 Spatial Sound Mapping, the system can emulate a 5.1.4 or even 7.1.4 channel system thanks to phantom channel placement in various positions in the listening space.

Check out our unboxing video for a peek at what the speakers look like and how they work. Our full review is coming soon to ecoustics.com.
