The PJ359w is specially designed for widescreen-format laptops and imaging applications

As consumers rapidly make the transition to widescreen laptops, ViewSonic Corp. introduced the first projector designed specially to be compatible with widescreen applications. Weighing in at under 4-pounds and boasting easy adaptation to versatile projection situations, the PJ359w is an ideal choice for use in the classroom, office or on the road.

The PJ359w gives presenters peace of mind that their visuals will be of high quality in any environment. With a brightness of 2,000 lumens and a 1280×800 WXGA resolution, the PJ359w creates crisp, detailed images in any lighting situation. The short-throw lens enables large images to be projected from short distances in small rooms; a screen size of 50-inches is possible from just 5.2-feet. The built-in automatic vertical keystone correction of +/-30 degrees ensures that images are perfectly proportioned; and the HDMI 1.3 high definition signal input ensures the best image performance and supports HD signals up to 1080p.

“The PJ359w was designed to deliver exceptional performance in multiple applications with a widescreen-format,” said Jeff Volpe, vice president of Global Brand and Emerging Business at ViewSonic. “As a leader in the projector industry, we are committed to evolving our technologies to meet customer needs. As the widescreen format becomes increasingly popular, developing a widescreen-friendly projector was a natural progression.”

The ultra-portable PJ359w is great for presentations on the road, and the slim design allows for easy storage in a classroom or office. Busy presenters will be stress-free with the quick set up and the direct off feature, which allows the projector to be unplugged and stored while bypassing the usual cool down phase. This advanced feature also protects lamp life from sudden power blackout. Maintenance is also hassle-free as the PJ359w has a sliding filter cover and simple lamp replacement. The PJ359w is backed by ViewSonic’s superior customer support program that includes a three-year limited product warranty, 24/7 technical support and one year of Express Exchange service at no additional charge. ViewSonic also offers a one-year warranty on the lamp.
