Tripp Lite Introduces New
32-Port, 8-User Matrix KVM Switch for Large Enterprise Applications

Chicago, IL (April 18, 2008)–Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity equipment, has added a new product to its KVM Switch line: the NetDirector 32-Port, 8-User Matrix 1U Rackmount KVM Switch (Model B060-032-8).
The B060-032-8 KVM Switch enables up to eight users to independently and simultaneously control 32 directly connected computers/servers. By daisy chaining or cascading additional KVMs, control can be extended to over 8,000 additional computers/servers. The B060-032-8 also features an innovative Web-based Administrator Utility for enhanced management and control of users and port settings. Three-level password security–Super Administrator, Administrator, and User–provides an exceptional level of flexibility, with up to 1,024 individual user accounts and 256 group accounts accommodated. The B060-032-8 KVM Switch also simplifies cable management in complex enterprise-level applications. It utilizes inexpensive Cat5 cabling that permits connections between consoles, switches and servers over distances of up to 500 ft.
Compatibility with PS/2 or USB consoles and servers is provided by Console Interface Modules (Models B062-002-PS2 and B062-002-USB) and Server Interface Modules (Models B054-001-PS2 and B054-001-USB). The B060-032-8 KVM Switch features plug-and-play setup with no software required. Hot-pluggable capability permits computers to be added or removed from the system without powering down the KVM Switch or other computers. Preprogrammed hot keys and On-Screen Display (OSD) menus simplify port selection. The KVM’s firmware can easily be upgraded via a flash-upgradeable firmware port.
