Tripp Lite 3-Phase UPS Systems & Switched, Metered PDUs with ATS Named 2007 INNOVATION Awards Finalists

Chicago, IL (September 28, 2007)–Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection equipment, has announced that its SmartOnline 3-Phase UPS Systems and Switched, Metered Power Distribution Units (PDUs) with Automatic Transfer Switching (ATS) have been named finalists in Electrical Contracting Products magazine’s 2007 INNOVATION Awards. The prestigious INNOVATION Awards recognizes outstanding companies whose products or services have best responded to electrical contractors’ market challenges by offering creative and innovative ideas.

“Not only did we receive a record number of entries for the INNOVATION Awards,” stated John Dyslin, Electrical Contracting Products Editor, “but it was clear in the judging process that all facets of the electrical industry are seeing more and more products that are innovative in areas such as design, energy efficiency and ease of use.”

“We’re honored to have two of our product lines named as finalists,” said David Slotten, Tripp Lite’s Director of Product Management. “Tripp Lite strives to create innovative products that bring our customers tangible benefits, and for these products to receive such a great response means we’re doing something right.”

Tripp Lite’s newly redesigned SmartOnline 3-Phase UPS Systems have the smallest footprint in their class and provide ideal power for mission-critical equipment in computing, networking, telecommunications and industrial environments. Power and battery components have been combined into a single, compact module with front-panel battery access for convenient runtime expansion. True on-line operation and IGBT inverter technology provide up to 30kVA of pure sine wave 120/208V output power.

Tripp Lite’s Switched, Metered PDUs include digital load meters, dual power inputs with Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) functionality, up to 16 individually switched outlets and remote monitoring and control via SNMP, Web or telnet. Ideal for powering multiple loads in almost any environment, they support 19-inch rack, wall, raceway, workbench and under-counter installation.
