Toshiba Announces Satellite U305 Series Laptops Offering Consumers Performance and Power in a Mobile Form Factor
Toshiba’s Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced its latest Satellite U305 series laptop computers that offer consumers solid performance and power, in a mobile form factor.
As a mobile computing solution, the Satellite U305 series start at 4.6-pounds(1) and feature a 13.3-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite display, while offering mobile professionals and students an array of configurations and options to tackle any task or assignment. Select models incorporate the latest Intel Centrino Duo technology for enhanced computing and overall battery life.
The Satellite U305 series features a built-in Webcam and microphone in the LCD bezel allowing the mobile professional to partake in seminars and the student away from home to communicate with loved ones afar.
To enhance the effectiveness of the Webcam, select models of the Satellite U305 notebook lineup incorporate the draft 802.11n(2) wireless(3) protocol, which delivers transfers speeds up to five times(4) faster than the previous 802.11g standard. This new wireless protocol makes it possible for users to download large files, data and video in a fraction of the time it took the previous standard.
