Synchronoss Addresses Network and Device Convergence Needs with Record Scalability

ConvergenceNow Scales to Operate at a Record 65 Times Average Volume

BRIDGEWATER, NJ –June 19, 2007–Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNCR), the premier provider of on-demand transaction management software to Tier One communication service providers (CSPs), today announced that scalability testing of its ConvergenceNow platform has been performed and is currently reaching volumes of 65 times the average of its previous performance.

The system scaled to record transactions per node for the ConvergenceNow platform with near linear scalability across sample clusters. The test was executed on an architecture consisting of HP c7000 Blade Servers and Hewlett Packard Integrity rx4640 servers. The application tier utilizes BEA’s Weblogic Application Server v9.2 and their optimized Java Virtual Machine JRockit. The database tier is powered by Oracle Database 10g and Real Application Clusters. The distributed solution delivered extreme levels of performance, high levels of availability and provides a horizontally scalable architecture for future growth.

“Communication Service Providers that require automated order management, activation and provisioning capabilities to meet their convergence needs can rely on the performance, reliability and scalability that the combination of ConvergenceNow and Oracle bring to the table,” said Willie Hardie, vice president, Database Marketing, at Oracle.

The ConvergenceNow platform accelerates the order to cash process and optimizes the end user experience while orchestrating the activation of complex service bundles including voice, video, wireless, high speed Internet access and content. With record scalability, CSPs are able to effectively increase the volume of these complex bundled transactions delivering the Triple and Quadruple Plays with a seamless customer experience.

“As our customers converge networks and devices to offer bundled services, we need to scale with them to address the increased complexity and volume of transactions that they are generating,” said Pat Doran, vice president Research & Development at Synchronoss Technologies. “What better partners to help us achieve this than Oracle and BEA.”

The test was generated at the Synchronoss R&D facility in Bethlehem, PA, and was supervised by both Oracle and BEA representatives. Synchronoss is also a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork
