Sony Delivering New Flat-Panel LCD HDTV Line

New Models Extend “S” Series Flat Panel LCDs Up to 32 Inches

NEW YORK, July 26, 2005 – Sony Electronics today announced that new 32- and 26-inch flat panel LCD HDTVs are now shipping. The KLV-S32A10 and KLV-S26A10 models round out Sony’s “S” series, which also includes models ranging in size from 15 to 23 inches already on the market.

“Our new models provide outstanding picture quality and are a great value for those consumers yet to embrace HDTV,” said Greg Gudorf, vice president of television marketing for Sony Electronics.

The picture performance is supported results from a panel resolution of 1366 x 768. The chassis has a high performance, one-chip video processor, Sony’s Dynamic Picture processor circuitry, and CineMotion Reverse 3:2 Pulldown technology to insure a bright, crisp, high contrast image.

“High performance, slim profile HDTV is reality,” Gudorf added. “Our new “S” series delivers unrivaled quality and style to tech-savvy consumers.”

The new models feature Sony’s WEGA GATE graphic user interface for easy menu operation. Other convenient functions include an input skip, which displays the external inputs and allows immediate access with the push of a button. Also, a light sensor automatically measures ambient room light and adjusts picture settings accordingly, maximizing picture regardless of room conditions.

Other features include a digital amplifier, along with SRS WOW and the SRS TruSurround audio effect, which deliver high quality sound through two 10-watt speakers. With connectivity options like HDMI, component, PC, composite and S-video inputs, the new slim all-in-one design also offers mounting holes for increased compatibility with VESA compliant brackets.

The new KLV-S32A10 and KLV-S26A10 HDTVs are available now for about $2,000 and $1,500, respectively.

The entire flat-panel LCD HDTV line is now available at SonyStyle.com (www.sony.com/LCD), at Sony Style retail stores (www.sonystyle.com/retail), and at authorized dealers nationwide.
