San Jose, Calif. (Oct 8, 2004) – Silicon Optix’s Realta’ HQV’ chip has been honored as “Best Overall” among the CEDIA 2004 Best Buzz Awards from leading research firm Insight Media.
Over 550 exhibitors and thousands of products were showcased at the CEDIA home theater expo in Indianapolis, IN, from Sept 10-12th. Silicon Optix’s Realta HQV chip was the only product to receive the “Best Overall” award from Insight Media.
The Best Buzz award is selected by polling Insight Media staff, analysts, press, exhibitors and conference attendees about what was new and exciting.
“Several analysts and press who saw the Realta HQV product demonstration at CEDIA called the image quality nothing less than amazing,” said Steve Sechrist of Insight Media.
“This product really is revolutionary for our industry. Not only do manufacturers who use the Realta HQV technology get a ‘$60K’ image today, but also Realta’s programmability enables TVs or DVD players to download new algorithms, patches or upgrades, thus ‘future proofing’ the display and quelling buyer resistance,” continued Sechrist.
