GAMING IN THE FOURTH DIMENSION
SENNHEISER COMMUNICATIONS INTRODUCES THREE NEW USB HEADSETS AT CES 2004

OLD LYME, CONNECTICUT: It has taken Sennheiser Communications less than a year to create a real stir in the gaming market. With their superb sound and excellent workmanship, combined with up-to-date yet unmistakable design, the Sennheiser PC headsets are aimed directly at the gaming market. At CES 2004, Sennheiser Communications introduced three USB interface headsets. All feature the new USB adapter that embodies an integrated sound-card chip in the cable allowing the headset to function without a computer sound card. This means real-time plug-n-play performance. The USB headsets give Sennheiser Communications another important feature to meet gamers’ needs while offering outstanding performance with other sound sources, like CD, DVD and MP3 players.

The new PC 135 USB delivers the three-dimensional sound that is typical of all USB models allowing the gamer to identify accurately where his fellow players and rivals are, and respond appropriately. The frequency range of 30-18,000 Hz ensures vivid and well-balanced sound reproduction. This model – like all Sennheiser USB headsets – are binaural, delivering both superb audio and comfort in use.

The PC 145 USB, is a neckband unit. This is the ideal variant for gamers who find style important even in the hottest phases of the game.

The top model in the line, the PC 155 USB, is the perfect choice for hard-core and professional gamers. Its generously dimensioned ear cushions block out ambient noise and ensure lasting comfort for long-term listening. For Johan Ryman, better known as Vesslan, one of the most successful Counter-Strikers worldwide, and team captain of the clan Adrenalin, the PC 155 USB is a step into the future of gaming. “The clear sound of the PC 155 USB Sennheiser Communications headset takes gaming to the next level,” he enthused.

Sennheiser Communications is headquartered in Copenhagen, combining the core competencies of one of the world’s leading suppliers of audiology products (William Demant Holding A/S) with a world leader in professional electroacoustic products (Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co. KG). The joint venture has introduced leading-edge acoustic and electronic headset lines for use in call centers, small offices/home workplaces and PC-based applications around the world. Sennheiser Electronic Corporation (SEC) is the U.S. distributor for Sennheiser Communications.
