Scottevest Sev Partners With Eleksen To Release Volume-Control Jacket

SeV Tactical VC features ElekTex volume sensor, allowing user to control volume on hidden devices

KETCHUM, IDAHO–SCOTTEVEST, INC. (SeV) (www.scottevest.com), the sole provider of Technology Enabled Clothing (TEC), has announced its partnership with Eleksen Ltd., the leading producer of microchip-enabled consumer fabrics. The two companies will collaborate to produce SeV’s newest jacket, the Tactical VC (for Volume Control).

SeV’s Tactical VC allows the wearer to adjust the volume of electronic devices inside the jacket simply by touching the integrated controls on the jacket’s exterior. These controls function using ElekTex, Eleksen’s groundbreaking interactive fabric switching technology. ElekTex contains no hard components whatsoever–even the connections are made using conductive fabric ribbon cables. The fabric switches are washable, flexible, breathable, and pierce resistant.

In addition to the volume control feature, SeV Tactical VC includes 40 ergonomically designed pockets and compartments, SeV’s patented Personal Area Network (PAN), which allows users to discreetly hold and connect multiple electronic devices through a hidden conduit system, removable sleeves and hood, waterproof and breathable exterior, Coolmax mesh interior, Detachable Cargo Cache (DCC), Weight Management System (WMS), Solar Panel compatibility, patent-pending magnetic closures (using 14 magnets), Badge Grabber, CollarConnect, DeepPockets, 2 key holders, eyeglass chamois, 4 pen/stylus pockets, AA and AAA battery holders, magnetic windflap, side seam zippers, 2 bottle holders, BudBuckets, MyMemory, collar loops, epaulets, baseball cap holder and more!

SeV Tactical VC is part of SeV’s new product line, Version 4.0, which is redefining the way consumers, businessmen, and law enforcement personnel carry and use electronic devices.

“Our 4.0 Tactical VC is by far our most technical jacket, and includes a number of features that will please both ‘techies’ and undercover law enforcement personnel alike,” said Scott Jordan, CEO of SCOTTEVEST, Inc. “SCOTTEVEST recognizes that carrying a number of devices simultaneously is a fact of life in the modern world, and a given for law enforcement personnel. Our partnership with ElekSen allows us to deliver the highest quality TEC product to our users, something that SCOTTEVEST has pledged to do from Day One. ElekTex was the perfect choice for this all-weather product. The controls are durable and waterproof, but also thin and lightweight, making them ideal for a jacket that will be worn in all conditions. We are proud to be working with Eleksen to make wearable technology a reality today.”

Additional information about SCOTTEVEST’s SeV Tactical VC, its Version 4.0 product line, or about the company itself can be found at www.scottevest.com. ElekSen and its products can be found online at www.eleksen.com. The Tactical VC will be available this September 2005, in black, for $309.99.
