Samsung today announced the SD590C curved 27-inch LED monitor with super narrow bezel for a sleek look or multi-screen capability. Stereo speakers built directly into the monitor’s curve complete the package with high-quality surround sound, while a specialized mode optimizes the monitor for gaming with just one click.
Through its carefully selected curvature of 4000R, the monitor has a wider field of view than flat 27-inch panels, that Samsung claims makes the display seem bigger than 27-inches. Furthermore, since the user is absorbed in the onscreen action, peripheral visual clutter is reduced, providing a more comfortable viewing experience that is significantly easier on the eyes.
Because the display’s edges are physically closer to the user’s eyes and match their natural curve, users don’t need to shift focus to see the ends of the screen. This component is ideal for serious gamers or office workers who spend extended hours in front of a computer. High brightness (350 nit) and 3000:1 Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio add to the experience by making images and video appear even truer to life with deeper blacks, pristine whites and amazingly bright colors.
The monitor’s Game Mode instantly adjusts settings for optimized play. It intelligently detects changes in scenes, enhances the color, and alters the screen’s contrast to make the darks darker and the lights lighter.
