Samsung Gear Sport Smartwatch Works with iPhone

Samsung Gear Sport Smartwatch

Samsung announced the Gear Sport smartwatch that combines fitness and health tracking with military-grade durability. It should work best when paired with an Android smartphone, but claims to work with iPhone too. Although, it will be hard to tempt iPhone owners to buy it over Apple Watch Series 3. Other than the circular face and stylish looks, there is no killer feature that makes it a must-have. The big differentiator is no built-in LTE to make or receive calls on the Samsung Gear Sport.

Android smartphone owners can still find Gear Sport useful. Its got swim tracking, real-time heart rate monitoring, auto activity detection, and Spotify’s offline mode that lets users listen to their favorite music anywhere. Gear Sport is water resistant down to 50 meters, has a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, and built-in GPS.

The Samsung Gear Sport can control compatible Samsung IoT-enabled devices through Samsung Connect. Or it can act as a remote control, whether for a PowerPoint presentation or Samsung Gear VR headset. For convenience, use it pay for goods with a flick of the wrist via Samsung Pay (NFC Only).

Additionally, with a variety of custom watch bands to go along with Gear Sport’s traditional watch design, the smartwatch can be dressed up or down for any occasion.
