Offers Integrators Sleek, Cost-Effective Control Option for Media Systems; Now Shipping

Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), a leading manufacturer of professional-grade, integrator-friendly control solutions, is now shipping its T1-B universal controller, a sleek remote that offers intuitive, customizable control in a sexy design worthy of any home or office environment. The T1-B, which represents the second generation of RTI’s popular T1 universal system controller, is available at a low MSRP of just $349, giving installers the sophisticated functionality of more expensive touch screen controllers at a much lower price point.

“Installations today are under tighter budget constraints than ever before, and we are pleased to offer installers an elegant and cost-effective control solution for their projects,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “The T1-B boasts uncompromising functionality and a very sleek and sexy industrial design. It also has the power to control any media system, no matter how complex. The T1-B provides the dealer and the consumer with an unmatched value, given the features and powerful capabilities it offers.”

Customizable Control for Virtually Any Residential or Commercial Environment
The T1-B allows installers to combine all other factory remote controls into one simple, ergonomic interface that provides powerful, one-handed system control. Completely customizable to control virtually any aspect of a residential or commercial application, the T1-B features 40 assignable keypad buttons that can be individually programmed to control devices or execute multistep macros for reliable control of electronic systems of any size. For more intuitive control, the unit offers eight source and four general purpose keypad buttons with interchangeable key labels.

The controller is easily programmed with RTI’s proprietary, award-winning Integration Designer software, and it integrates with virtually any component from any manufacturer, along with RTI’s entire family of products. When other RTI devices are employed, the T1-B is capable of RF transmission through walls and cabinets, RS-232 control, contact closures, power sensing, and much more.

The T1-B features an extremely wide IR transmitting frequency range of 15 kHz to 460 kHz. The controller’s integrated tilt switch, coupled with a Lithium-ion battery and charging dock, ensure hours of uninterrupted control. Non-volatile flash memory stores system configurations even when power is not present.
