The RCD-06SE CD player is the result of extensive research and development that is part of Rotel’s new flagship 15 Series. This includes the replacement of the original Burr Brown DAC with a new higher performing model from Wolfson. Key components and circuits to support this new DAC have also been upgraded. These include selected components for both filter and buffer stages, precision resistors used in the input circuits, low-noise resistor feeds to the DAC, and selected input and output coupling capacitors. All of which adds up to a level of CD playback associated with far more costly designs.
