SAN DIEGO (February 20, 2008) — RAYTEL Corporation, a US-based distribution partner of the German manufacturer Funkwerk Dabendorf, has officially changed its name to Funkwerk Americas effective immediately.

Funkwerk Americas (formerly RAYTEL Corporation) is responsible for all marketing, sales, and distribution activities for Funkwerk’s EGO product line throughout North, Central, and South America, and Australia. Engineering and manufacturing for Funkwerk Americas is still based in Germany.

President and CEO Stan Gafner, who was named Funkwerk Americas’ Chairman of the Board on Feb. 5, 2008, stated: “As part of a global company, changing our name from RAYTEL to Funkwerk Americas is a big step forward to streamline our communications and worldwide brand strategy. Funkwerk Americas is committed to providing products of the highest quality combined with premium customer service. We have done this for years with the TellPhone brand and continue to exceed customers’ expectations with the new EGO product line. The incredibly successful launch of EGO indicates the strong market demand for excellent Bluetooth hands-free products which are tailored to the customers’ needs.”

What is EGO?
The EGO line offers a complete range of in-vehicle Bluetooth hands-free communication, multimedia and entertainment solutions. EGO CUP, EGO TALK, EGO FLASH, EGO LOOK, and EGO DRIVE are members of the starting line-up under the EGO brand. Please visit http://www.egohandsfree.com for more details.
