Phase Technology Promotes Tony Weber to Director of Sales & Marketing

Industry Veteran Assumes New Post to Shape the Company’s Growth Strategy and Boost Sales

JACKSONVILLE, FL — September 16, 2005 — Phase Technology, the leading American manufacturer of home entertainment speakers and systems, is pleased to announce that Mr. Tony Weber has been promoted to the position of Director of Sales & Marketing. A 33+ year veteran in the audio/video industry, Mr. Weber joined Phase Tech last year as Western Regional Sales Manager and is excited to step into the lead role for the sales and marketing position at this venerable speaker manufacturer.

“As Phase Technology celebrates it’s 50th Anniversary this year, I am excited to head up our sales and marketing team and continue the proud tradition that has guided this company for over five decades,” said Weber. “With the introduction of our dARTS Digital Audio Reference Theater System, along with our new ARTE on-wall speakers, and the PT A-BUS multi-room audio system, Phase Technology is poised for consistent growth.”

Just prior to joining Phase Technology, Weber designed and managed system installations with custom audio/video dealers in Arizona and Virginia. Before that, he directed national marketing efforts at Bang & Olufsen, and worked as a manufacturer’s sales representative in the Western and mid-Atlantic United States. He was the general manager for a three-location, high-end audio/video systems installer in Utah, and has served on manufacturer’s representative and dealer councils for Bang & Olufsen, McIntosh, and Infinity, among others. Tony has also instructed at CEDIA Expo and at ASID and IIDA regional conferences.

“After thirty years working in a number of segments of audio/video, I am proud to accept this position at Phase Technology,” Weber added. “In the home entertainment industry, quality isn’t a luxury but an absolute necessity, and each member of this team shares a commitment to bringing the absolute highest level of quality and service to Phase Technology’s customers. From the engineers to the sales and marketing department, I’ve seen the same spirit that has established this company’s respected fifty-year legacy. I’m excited to become even more involved with our dealers and representatives to build on Phase Tech’s traditions of award-winning innovation.”

About Phase Technology

Phase Technology Corporation (toll-free at 888-PHASE TK; website at www.phasetech.com) is one of the few fully-vertically integrated American speaker manufacturers. The company started as United Speaker Systems in 1955 as an original equipment manufacturer and still designs and produces its own sub-assemblies in-house. Phase Technology’s speaker lines incorporate many proprietary innovations like the soft-dome tweeter, the industry’s standard invented by Bill Hecht, founder of Phase Technology. Other patents cover the self-damping woofer voice coil, the manufacturing process for flat-piston midrange drivers and woofers, silicone-injected drivers for resonance damping, and the positive-clamping mounting system for the premier in-wall Model CI-110/II. The company also developed the Unicell Zero-Diffraction treatment that reduces acoustic reflections off cabinet and grille surfaces. Phase Technology manufactures its wood cabinets by hand and performs quality control tests at every step of the fabrication process.

Building on five decades of design and engineering innovation in the manufacture of high quality, yet affordable speakers, Phase Technology supports its products with a 10-year warranty on speakers, while amplifiers are backed by a 3-year warranty. Phase Technology’s digital home theater, audiophile, outdoor, in-wall/in-ceiling custom installation speakers, as well as powered and in-wall subwoofers are constructed at the company’s Jacksonville, Florida facility.
