Niveus Medias Pro Series Featured in Esquire North

Niveus joins a list of distinguished brands and leading designers to create the ultimate Esquire ‘Signature Space’ in NYC.

Milpitas, CA — October 1, 2007 — Niveus Media, award-winning manufacturer of digital entertainment solutions for the whole-home, is proud to announce its participation in the 2007 Esquire North project. Esquire magazine has come to life in a tastefully designed uptown bachelor pad, a 5,700 square-foot triplex penthouse apartment on the North side of Central Park in the heart of New York City that includes technology, furnishings, and decor from the most premier names in the biz. As part of the philanthropic mission, a series of exclusive celebrity and community-related charity events will take place at the apartment from September through November for Esquire clients, high-profile philanthropic donors, celebrities, and other VIPs. The events are by invitation only.

“We’re proud to once again participate in the Esquire Signature Space program,” notes Brian Paper, VP Marketing for Niveus Media. “With leading designers at the helm and so many distinguished brands embedded in the home, Esquire North is clearly a brilliant project; but beyond the superiority of the pad, the humanitarianism is what continues to encourage us to participate.”

Intel Corporation, who has partnered with Esquire for the third consecutive year to transform the apartment into the ultimate digital home, is working with Niveus to provide media servers for the penthouse. In addition to the renowned team of builders, architects, and designers, Intel also worked very closely with Audio Command Systems, a nationally recognized audio video integrator and Niveus Authorized Dealer, to develop a sophisticated and intuitive entertainment environment.

Niveus chose the top of the line Pro Series media server to deliver high-class and high-def entertainment throughout the Esquire North dwelling. Incorporating the most advanced hardware and software, the Pro Series allows the sophisticated Esquire man (and his guests) to easily manage and access hundreds of movies, thousands of CD’s, photos, games and television shows.

Based on the Windows Vista Ultimate Media Center platform, the Pro Series is engineered to provide exceptional images and pristine video quality; incorporating the Intel Core2 Quad processor, Nvidia’s GeForce Series 8 Graphics, and HDMI output. Specially designed in a sleek, rack-mount black chassis, the Pro Series offers up to 3TB of storage and supports simultaneous streaming of HD media and multi-channel music throughout the Esquire North home and features four television tuners, 7.1 analog and digital surround sound, and more!

With the Intel Core 2 Quad processor, the Pro Series is capable of streaming HD media to 5 additional, Esquire North zones while providing the power, compatibility, and connectivity to perform as the hard-core central media hub. In addition, the Intel powered server also allows instant access from any networked computer or DLNA enabled TV or Digital Media Adapter throughout the Esquire home!

More about Esquire North
Esquire North defines modern luxury and sustains the magazine’s “Signature Space concept” – the transformation of a remarkable physical space into the epitome of 21st Century living. For Esquire North, the magazine has assembled an extraordinary team of designers and premium brands, including: Versace, Hugo Boss, Kenneth Cole, Intel, Louis Vuitton, ASICS, and Niveus!

Beyond the amazing decor and entertainment aspects, a major component of Esquire’s “Signature Space” concept is philanthropy. Each event hosted at the pad supports a specific charity or cause, and proceeds from each event — ticket sales, auctions, and/or gifts — are donated to those charities.

In conjunction with CARE, the international poverty relief agency, the magazine will host a star-studded opening-night celebration hosted by Kyra Sedgwick on Thursday, September 27. Other events taking place at the apartment include a reception for Oxfam America hosted by Scarlett Johansson and Helen Mirren; a benefit for Shine on Sierra Leone hosted by Jay-Z and Regina King; and events benefiting Harlem Village Academies, Riverkeeper, Faster Cures, and The New York City Police Foundation.

Esquire North, situated in one of New York’s hottest real estate markets, is the latest project by developer The Athena Group LLC, whose portfolio also includes prestigious luxury buildings such as 838 Fifth Avenue and a new Rem Koolhaas-designed property on the Jersey City, NJ, waterfront.
