NHT Overhauls Web Site With A Plain English Approach

BENICIA, CA, September 10, 2006 — Moving to eschew product laundry lists that typify most consumer electronics web sites, NHT today unveiled a completely new look and feel for its home on the web.

The new site, which continues to be located at www.nhthifi.com, targets both dealers and end-users with a format that ensures the visitor is never more than two clicks away from an intuitive, intelligent menu of products for stereo or home theater applications.

“We made the new NHT site as ‘clear-headed’ as possible,” said John Johnsen, NHT’s Vice President, Brand Marketing. “There’s a common voice that resonates throughout every page, whether the visitor is learning about our new systems, individual models, or just what the heck NHT is all about.”

As a niche brand with appeal to music- and movie-lovers, as well as traditional audiophiles, NHT’s site features a “plain English” approach that highlights each model’s attributes for specific applications, plus background on the company’s unique history that is as entertaining as it is enlightening. Additionally, NHTPro, the company’s pro audio brand, is now incorporated into the overall NHT site for the first time in the company’s history.

For audio enthusiasts who are first discovering the benefits of high performance multimedia speaker, the site features a section entitled, “What is PC Hi-Fi?” (http://nhthifi.com/2006/pchifi.html) While it includes information on the company’s acclaimed M-00 (“moo”) and other multimedia monitors, the primary focus is on achieving true high-end audio from a PC, iPod or other digital device.
Commented Johnsen: “Contrary to what some audiophiles will have you believe, it’s entirely possible to derive a detailed, neutral image from digital media, even mp3 files. You just need the right equipment.

“Naturally, we’re going to steer you toward our products, but we’re more concerned with showing that computers and portable players are relevant sources of music and movie soundtracks,” said Johnsen. “It’s just a matter of spelling out the ABC’s of what’s needed for a high output multimedia rig.”

Johnsen added that the new NHT site will soon feature special product giveaways and other promotions, including tie-ins with the brand’s friends in the music business.
