New Genesis 6.1mp Monople Surround Loudspeaker

Seattle, WA — Genesis Advanced Technologies, manufacturer of legendary high-end audiophile loudspeaker systems, is now shipping the G6.1mp monopole surround speaker: part of the Genesis 6.1 Absolute Surround multi-channel loudspeaker system.

The G6.1mp is a monopole only version of Genesis’ award winning G6.1sr. It features the renowned Genesis ribbon tweeter, 5″ titanium midrange and dual 6.5″ mid-bass couplers. “Our customers have been asking for a more affordable surround solution that maintains the level of performance of our other Absolute Surround components”, explained Mr. Gary Leonard Koh, Managing Director. “The capabilities of our remote-switchable monopole / dipole G6.1sr are not necessary in all applications so we now can offer a cost-effective surround speaker that has the same voice as our left / right pairs and centers.”

The G6.1mp’s drivers are configured as a front firing baffle with left & right side-firing mid-bass facets in a hexagonal cabinet. The G6.1mp is universally installer-friendly. Its unique shape and flexible mounting bracket system allows it to be placed on a side wall, rear wall or corner, and on any surface from dry-wall to concrete blocks.

“We’ve provided a high-level speaker throughput for connection to our S2/12t subwoofer”, explains Scott Garside, Market Manager. “A fully configured Genesis Absolute Surround system is full-frequency in all five channels. The combination of G6.1mp surrounds and their accompanying S2/12t subwoofers plays from 16Hz – 36kHz.”

The G6.1mp surround speakers retail for $4,600 a pair in a satin black finish with cloth grills. A paintable contractor version prepped in gel coat, without grills, is available for $4,000 per pair. S2/12t surround subwoofers retail for $2,850 each in satin black, or $4,250 for custom automotive finishes. Complete specifications for the G6.1mp and S2/12t can be found at www.genesisloudspeakers.com.
