NETGEAR ReadyNAS Duo v2 and NV v2 Network Storage

NETGEAR introduced the two-bay ReadyNAS Duo v2 and four-bay ReadyNAS NV+ v2 network attached storage systems, which access data twice as fast as previous generations and provide private cloud storage with as few as 8 mouse clicks.

Both systems include hot-swap disk drive bays and automatic capacity expansion, as well as USB 3.0 ports (an industry first) for up to 20% speedier backups. An updated photo sharing application allows print quality private photo sharing without 3rd party services or fees. Both include ReadyNAS Remote, a mobile app for iOS, Android, PC and Mac platforms that delivers 128-bit SSL access to information stored on the ReadyNAS from anywhere. And finally, both can stream music, HD movies and photos to home media devices like TVs, game consoles and TiVo.

With the newly redesigned RAIDiator 5 user interface, set up is complete in less than 8 clicks. Common storage tasks such as setting file permissions or creating new user accounts are a breeze. Also, pre-installed on each machine, the ReadyNAS Remote application automatically creates secure connections for easy storage access from phone, tablet and notebooks from wherever life takes you.

ReadyNAS Photos II revolutionizes the private photo sharing landscape by allowing users to securely share their photos or albums without resolution restrictions. Granting upload/download access is a breeze and photos can be uploaded from a mobile handheld or even directly from an Eye-Fi wireless memory card. In addition, all ReadyNAS units feature the ability to stream content through DLNA compatible devices like game consoles and televisions.

Available diskless or populated, ReadyNAS Duo v2 and ReadyNAS NV+ v2 feature a sturdy steel chassis, hot-swappable drive bays and automatic expansion for painless management and zero downtime.
