Multiband Announces Business Solutions Group,
To Take Business Technology Services To The Next Level

Expands The Business Solutions Management Team,
By Choosing Myrna Hoekstra As It’s New President

New Hope, Minnesota, August 16, 2004. Multiband (NASDAQ: MBND–News) today announced the opening of the first of two new business units, Multiband Business Solutions. Multiband recognized that companies requiring the latest in voice, data and video communications systems and technology don’t have the inclination or capital to completely replace their technology infrastructure every three years. These companies are looking for ways to maximize their investment in equipment and technology, while keeping present systems in place longer and reevaluating additions to their networks.

“We believe they are looking for a partner, one that offers unbiased recommendations and designs for telecommunications and computer systems to fit their specific needs. Multiband’s commitment to this partnership approach to business technology needs, required that we concentrate on offering business clients a fresh perspective and a dedication to continued innovation, which led to the formation of the Multiband’s Business Solutions Group” said James Mandel, CEO of Multiband.

Mr. Mandel continued “We chose Myrna Hoekstra as President of Multiband’s Business Solutions Group, in order to bring strong and experienced leadership to this new business Group”. Ms. Hoekstra said “I am committed to Multiband providing information technology consulting to commercial and institutional clients of all sizes, independent of manufacturer or vendor influence and to supplying the products and services to implement the recommended solutions”.

Since 1981, Multiband, formerly Corporate Technologies, has provided products and services to the business community. “By creating this Group, Multiband renews its focus and commitment to this very important market by providing professional services and products, with emphasis on security and surveillance, mobility, support, communications and infrastructure solutions. In addition to the enterprise market, Multiband has a new focus on the small and medium sized businesses that are virtually neglected in our area” said Ms. Hoekstra. Multiband also offers system integration, training and related communication sales and support activities including a full range of maintenance for commercial, professional and institutional clients in Minnesota and North Dakota. Multiband’s proprietary processes and procedures, developed over the last quarter century, bring Multiband clients the maximum return on every technology dollar invested.

Ms. Hoekstra is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising & Retailing. Her career includes work at Microsoft (formerly Great Plains Software), Corporate Technologies, and RDO Equipment Co. where she served as Vice President of Training and Communications. She returned to Corporate Technologies, now Multiband Business Solutions, in 2001.
