Gallup’s 12: the Elements of Great Managing Available in Mobile and Print on Exact Same Day
In an industry first, Mobifusion, an emerging leader in mobile media that supplies premium products to mobile consumers worldwide, announced today the availability of a mobile version of 12: The Elements of Great Managing. 12 is the long anticipated follow up title to Gallup’s bestselling title, First Break All the Rules. The simultaneous launch of both the print and mobile versions of the new book will take place on December 12, 2006.
“Publishers are constantly looking for new and unique ways to reach their target audience and with U.S. wireless penetration at more than 72%, making 12 available for the wireless user was a natural extension,” said Pio Juszkiewicz, publisher at Gallup Press. “Mobifusion’s technology allows us to extend distribution beyond the bookshelf, delivering it to the handset in a simple, fun, interactive, personalized, and affordable format.”
According to Pavan Mandhani, founder and CEO of Mobifusion, there is no longer a need to wait to bring branded content to the cell phone. “Today’s wireless user is far more sophisticated and wants access to their entertainment and information immediately. Our patented m-Publishing Platform brings the best media brands to the industry’s leading handsets and operating systems without months or years of conversions,” said Mandhani.
Mandhani noted that while movie studios typically team up with fast food giants launching cross-promotions the same day a motion picture debuts in theaters, the Gallup/Mobifusion partnership is an industry first for a media company and a mobile provider. “Consumers now have a choice on how they’d like get their entertainment and information!”
Gallup’s 12 builds on concepts that were introduced in First, Break All the Rules, a New York Times bestseller. The bestseller, which challenged prevailing business wisdom, first identified the 12 Elements that all great managers share.
12, written by Rodd Wagner, a principal at Gallup, and James K. Harter, Ph.D., chief scientist for Gallup’s international workplace management practice will be available through many online retailers, wireless carriers, and http://www.pocketdirectory.com beginning December 12, 2006.
