MegaPath Selects ADTRAN NetVanta Routers

NetVanta 3120/3130 Provide Cost-Effective Solutions for SMB and Enterprise Applications

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.–(June 28, 2007)–ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading supplier of networking equipment, today announced that MegaPath, a leading provider of managed IP voice, data and security services in North America, has selected ADTRAN’s NetVanta 3120 and 3130 IP Fixed-port Access Routers for deployments with their services to Small and Midsized Business (SMB) and Enterprise customers.

“ADTRAN’s NetVanta routers provide the business-class features we need at an attractive price point,” said Beth Tyebjee, senior vice president of marketing, MegaPath. “These products give us a compelling hardware solution offering Virtual Private Networking (VPN), dial back-up, and Quality of Service for Voice over IP (VoIP) applications. In addition, these platforms offer superior quality and reliability. This is especially important for our SMB and Enterprise customers where downtime is simply not an option.”

MegaPath is using the ADTRAN NetVanta routers to deliver secure, high speed Internet access and voice services for its SMB customers. In addition to these services, MegaPath is also using the ADTRAN NetVanta routers to provide secure MPLS/IPsec VPNs for its enterprise customers.

The NetVanta 3120 is a fixed-port Ethernet router with an integral four-port VLAN Ethernet switch. This product is ideal for secure, high-speed Internet access and corporate connectivity using broadband access such as DSL or cable. The NetVanta 3130 is a fixed-port ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ IP access router with an integral four-port VLAN Ethernet switch. This product is designed for carrier bundled service offerings and secure, high-speed Internet access and corporate connectivity. In addition to supporting ADSL (Annex A), and ADSL2, the NetVanta 3130 supports today’s most advanced ADSL technology, ADSL2+, for applications taking advantage of its greater reach and higher bandwidth, up to 25Mbps. Both platforms provide VPN as a standard feature as well as analog dial backup for disaster recovery.
