When Bose acquired McIntosh Group in November 2024, bringing both McIntosh and Sonus faber under the same corporate roof, the high-end audio world reacted with the calm restraint of villagers spotting smoke over the castle. Would McIntosh still build unapologetically high-end American amplifiers in Binghamton? Would Sonus faber still make loudspeakers with Italian craft and not Bluetooth conference-room energy?
With the new McIntosh MA2375 Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier, the answer appears to be yes. Very much yes.
The MA2375 is a 75-watt-per-channel, all-analog vacuum tube integrated amplifier with KT88 output tubes, 12AT7 driver tubes, Unity Coupled Circuit output transformers, and the familiar blue-meter glow that tells loyalists the lights in Binghamton are still on. Bose may own the house now, but based on recent McIntosh and Sonus faber product activity, nobody has painted over the family crest.
McIntosh MA2375 Overview

The latest example of McIntosh’s traditional design approach is the new McIntosh MA2375 Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier, the company’s first vacuum tube integrated amplifier in more than a decade. Vacuum tube amplification has long been part of McIntosh’s high-performance audio heritage, and the MA2375 continues that lineage in a modern integrated amplifier.
The MA2375 combines a vacuum tube preamplifier and vacuum tube power amplifier in a single all-analog component. It does not include a built-in DAC, network streaming, or wireless functionality, keeping the design focused on analog source components and loudspeaker amplification.

The power amplifier section uses four KT88 output tubes and four 12AT7 driver tubes, delivering 75 watts per channel. The preamplifier section uses two 12AX7A tubes and two additional 12AT7 tubes.
McIntosh’s Unity Coupled Circuit Output Transformers allow the MA2375 to deliver its rated output into 4-, 8-, or 16-ohm loudspeakers, giving owners flexibility when matching the amplifier with different speaker loads.
The MA2375 follows McIntosh’s established industrial design language, with a polished stainless-steel chassis, exposed tubes, protective tube cage, tube illumination, and the company’s signature blue watt meters.
The MA2375 includes a 5-band analog equalizer for fine-tuning the integrated amp’s sound in relation to the room environment and listening preferences. The included High Drive headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD) adds more dimensionality to private listening.

The Bottom Line
The McIntosh MA2375 is aimed at listeners who want a traditional all-vacuum-tube integrated amplifier, not one of McIntosh’s hybrid designs like the MA252 or MA352. Its key distinctions are the 75-watt KT88 output stage, McIntosh Unity Coupled Circuit Output Transformers, support for 4-, 8-, and 16-ohm loudspeakers, a built-in vacuum tube headphone amplifier, and full MM/MC phono compatibility.
What it does not offer is equally important: no DAC, no streaming, no HDMI eARC, no Bluetooth, and no room correction. At $15,000, the MA2375 is competing less with value-focused tube integrated amps and more with higher-end integrated amplifiers from Unison Research, Audio Research, Pass Labs, and MOON by Simaudio.
The MA2375 is for listeners who already have their digital front end sorted and want a McIntosh all-tube integrated with phono, headphone listening, and traditional analog control in one chassis.
