The Magic of HomeLogic Revealed at CEDIA With Unveiling of New Logo, Features and Marketing Efforts

MARBLEHEAD, MA — HomeLogic, a leading manufacturer of IP based entertainment and control systems, today announced details of the company’s major new marketing program at the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association’s CEDIA EXPO 2008 in Denver, Colorado. The company’s new marketing program heightens visibility within the custom installation market with a fresh new look including a new logo and Dealer sales tools. The new materials showcase HomeLogic’s arsenal of whole house, open source IP control solutions. The announcement was made by Joe Lautner, HomeLogic’s VP of Marketing and Sales.

The initiative focuses on bringing to light the industry’s best kept secret; the renowned programming-free IP technology and powerful homeowner features HomeLogic brought to the home systems marketplace in 2002, and how it empowers Dealers with new tools to better sell the most elegant and scalable control system available today. As part of the new initiative, HomeLogic Co-founders Jim Herman and Buddy Duncan unveiled the company’s new logo with a bolder emphasis on the company’s name and striking, newly designed brochures and product catalogs.

“Six years ago we entered the home electronics arena with feature-rich control systems that were easy to use and install. Our unique solutions have resulted in thousands of satisfied Dealers and happy end Clients – all without the luxury of extensive brand-building and marketing tools. We have become kind of a best kept industry secret,” said Mr. Lautner. “Now, with the extensive resources available to us as a part of the ELAN group, we have quickly created powerful new tools, profitable Dealer Programs, expanded our Dealer training, and enhanced the support needed to catapult us to a whole new level.”

“This aggressive new program gives HomeLogic the momentum to expand its reach with even more qualified Dealers and to show how they can provide the best home and away open architecture control solutions in an easier, faster and more profitable way,” said Paul Starkey, ELAN’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “ELAN Dealers have been asking for a step-up in home control, and now they have access to the smartest control choice ever offered.”

HomeLogic systems are designed for out-of-the-box integration with ELAN Multi-Room Systems and Ole and VIA! user interfaces. They also integrate seamlessly with sister company Sunfire’s luxury Home Theater Receivers and Processors. The unique open architecture design allows for integrating a wide range of third party AV and control products, thus providing Dealers with unparalleled choice and flexibility, as well as easier installation compared to any competition.

Dealers are assured fast and hassle-free integration with a myriad of subsystems to control all home functions including, but not limited to, security, lighting, climate, irrigation and pool/spa. Easy control of these subsystems, plus history review and scheduling, can be done from any touchscreen in the home or remotely with a PC, PDA or even by phone. With this unique functionality and the vastly increased visibility that will be provided through the new marketing program, HomeLogic’s entertainment and control solutions are on track toward being one of the major success stories of 2008.

“The opportunity to take HomeLogic to more Dealers and add immediately to their bag of tricks and bottom line is absolutely a marketing and sales person’s dream come true,” said Cat Fowler, ELAN’s Vice President of Marketing, Inside Sales and Customer Services. “Helping to create the new brand positioning and marketing initiative, to raise awareness for such an unparalleled, fully scaleable solution that unquestionably makes Dealer’s lives easier has already proven to be a very exciting and rewarding experience.”

With reduced installation times, easier customization, remote system configuration and upgrades over the Internet, plus a wide array of new marketing tools to better help Dealers sell and add to their bottom lines, HomeLogic systems are one-of-a-kind and exactly what Dealers need today given the changing economic climate.

HomeLogic’s new logo and marketing initiative are being introduced at CEDIA, with Dealer selling tools available now through HomeLogic at http//www.homelogic.com. Additionally, the unveiling of a new HomeLogic website, the launch of HomeLogic online University and introduction of further sales and marketing materials and activities are planned for 2009.
