Sophisticated Packaging Service Takes the Guesswork Out of Installation Jobs, Speeding Completion and Reducing Errors

IS EUROPE, AMSTERDAM, Jan. 30, 2009 — Liberty Wire & Cable, worldwide supplier of a broad range of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, including custom installers and systems integrators, offers a broad variety of custom Kitting Solutions designed to maximize professional installers’ speed and efficiency by taking the guesswork out of jobs and reducing errors.

“Our Kitting service helps customers streamline the management of their installations by making sure installers have a complete set of correct products, all clearly labeled, for each project,” said Kirk Horlbeck, Senior Vice President of Marketing. “This ensures the right product is at the right place at the right time.”

For each project, Liberty’s Kitting (kit-ting) operation provides an individual box with all needed A/V components correctly labeled. Both the inside and outside of the box, as well as the components, can be identified by room number, room type, project name, component name, part number, project number, and the like. For any project with identical, repeated elements — like several classrooms in a K-12 school, or rooms in a large home — Liberty’s Kitting Service takes the guesswork out of the installation.

Some typical kits in Liberty’s Kitting repertory involve sets of instructions or information, bulk wire, connectors, custom or molded assemblies, fiber assemblies, rack header plates, tools and wall plates. Liberty’s warehouse professionals can create kits from scratch, using clients’ part numbers for the order. They can assemble pallet shipments of pre-Kitted boxes for larger projects, paying special attention to stacking order and other requirements.

Liberty can custom-print the packaging on each kit with each client’s colors, business name and project information, and add logos and other information on all components in the kit as needed. Liberty can also ‘pre-build’ clients’ kits and hold them for later distribution to needed locations, eliminating the cost of storing and managing project inventory.

Liberty’s Kitting service provides perfect solutions for OEM customers, as well as individual installers, and is one of the many ways Liberty makes it easy to conduct business. Further details, along with Liberty’s outstanding products, are available at Booth 1K22, Amsterdam RAI, during the show.
