LG Announces New 49-inch UltraGear 32:9 Curved Screen Gaming Monitor for 2023

The LG 49GR85DC-B UltraGear Widescreen Monitor elevates the gaming experience with advanced features and picture quality.

LG 49GR85DC-B 49-inch Curved UltraGear Gaming Monitor

In September 2022, LG unveiled its most innovative gaming monitor yet with the LX3 which featured a bendable 4K UHD OLED screen and both gaming and smart TV features.

The LX3 is still an active part of the LG’s line-up, but for 2023 they are adding another option for serious gamers, the UltraGear 49GR85DC-B dedicated gaming monitor.

What makes this entry different from the LX3 is that the smart TV features are stripped out and instead of a 42-inch 16×9 aspect ratio bendable OLED screen, the 49GR85DC-B has a 49-inch permanently curved ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio LED/LCD screen with Dual QHD resolution (5129×1440 pixels).

The 49GR85DC-B’s Gamer-Centric Design is designed to provide an immersive gaming experience.

Nice. As a fan of Todd AO and the owner of a 55 inch Samsung Curved UHDTV for several years now I can readily opine sans whine on the wonder and beauty of a Curved TV and moan their slow passing.

Apparently gamers enjoy them too. I envy them.

Thank you for the heads up!
