Readiris Pro 9 is a powerful productivity booster for flatbed scanners, “all-in-one” devices and digital cameras. It retypes scanned documents and image files and “repurposes” PDF files, maintaining the original layout and offering an unprecedented speed and OCR accuracy.
Readiris constitutes an exceptional productivity tool for the home (SOHO) and professional user: it eliminates all manual retyping by converting even high volumes of paper documents comfortably.
Readiris Pro 9 is available in two versions: the “standard” version Readiris Pro addresses the home and professional user, the Corporate version meets the needs of the corporate market. That “high-end” version is geared towards high volumes and recognizes business cards as well as text pages!

Change the order of the scanned pages with a simple “drag-and-drop”, exclude pages temporarily from the recognition process with a right-click or generate separate output files for each page.
The First Multilingual OCR Software.
Readiris Pro 9 recognizes up to 107 foreign languages and offers 7 interface user languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese-Brazilian).
Enhanced Autoformat Technology.
I.R.I.S.’ powerful Autoformat Technology recreates the layout of the source document: after the OCR phase, the text blocks or columns, tables and graphics are still in the same place. Bulleted and numbered lists are now recreated as well. All “URLs” of web pages and e-mail addresses now get recreated as “hyperlinks” in the recognition results.
Flowing Text Mode for Easier Editing.
Readiris recreates the columns of your documents so that you can easily edit the recognized text: as you edit the content of a document, the text naturally “flows” from one column to the next.
Improved Output Formats.
Automatically send the result into your favorite application (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, Corel WordPerfect, Sun StarOffice) or save it to an external file.

Readiris Pro 9 Corporate Edition.
The Readiris Pro 9 Corporate edition contains new extra features geared towards the professional user: the automated “batch processing” of large document collections, the support of high-speed and duplex scanners, the use of custom user lexicons (that reflect your company’s activity) during the PCR, the possibility to activate several languages simultaneously, business card recognition etc…
Batch OCR executes the recognition on all prescanned images in a specific folder. The recognized documents get the same file name as the image files.
Readiris Pro 9 Corporate Edition can set up a “watched folder”. Readiris systematically executes the recognition on any image file that gets dropped in a specific folder. You can leave the OCR software running day after day… Acquire new documents and they will be recognized promptly.

Intel Pentium based PC or equivalent computer. 32 MB RAM, 64 MB RAM is recommended to process grayscale and color images. Recommended 110 MB free disk space. Runs on Windows XP, ME, 2000, 98 or NT 4.0 operating system.
