iPort LaunchPort Inductive Charger Wall Mount for iPad 2

691570.jpg

iPort announced the first inductive charging and mounting system for iPad 2, called LaunchPort, which consists of three parts:

  1. PowerShuttle hard case with inductive charging for iPad
  2. BaseStation table top mounting and charging location for the PowerShuttle
  3. WallStation wall mounting and charging location for the PowerShuttle

The PowerShuttle is retained onto the BaseStation and WallStation magnetically, providing an incredibly user-friendly and totally secure mounting solution that allows the iPad to be rotated through a full 360 degrees, into landscape or portrait mode.

The LauchPort inductive charging system starts charging the iPad wirelessly, as soon as the PowerShuttle is docked onto either the WallStation or BaseStation; eliminating the need for external chargers and cables.

The PowerShuttle includes a pass-through mini USB connector, should the user wish to charge iPad when a BaseStation or WallStation are not available.

In addition to providing a more ergonomic feel with its hand grips and soft-touch finish, the PowerShuttle also features an acoustic wave guide that passively amplifies and directs sound towards the front of iPad, creating a better listening experience for the user.

The BaseStation is constructed of a high quality extruded aluminum and black composite finish that makes it a stylish addition to a countertop or bedside table, while the WallStation is in a discreet white finish that will not detract from the interior design cues of the room.

LaunchPort provides the Custom Installer with a high quality and reliable iPad charging and docking solution for automation and lighting controls systems utilizing iPad Apps.

Price and Availability
The iPort LaunchPort will be available Q4 2011:

  • PowerShuttle → $149
  • BaseStation → $199
  • WallStation → $199
