DENVER, COLORADO — September 06, 2006 — Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name in Custom Installation, announced today that the company is enhancing and expanding its award-winning IntelliControl ICS whole-house audio system with exciting new capabilities and functions, which will be shown to the custom installation industry for the first time during CEDIA EXPO in Denver this September.
Two new source card module options have been added — the IM-NET module for integrating IP-based sources and the TM-HD/R module for incorporating HD Radio. These in-demand technologies are now available with IntelliControl ICS thanks to the expandable card cage design of the GXR2 Modular MultiZone Receiver, which accommodates new sources and emerging technologies as they arise.
Another new addition is the RS232G Bi-directional Gateway, which seamlessly integrates subsystems, such as Lutron lighting controls and Escient and ReQuest music servers, with IntelliControl ICS. The RS232G Bi-directional Gateway connects to the system via CAT 5 cable and sits to the side or up to 100 meters away from the GXR2 Modular Multizone Receiver. Subsystems connected via RS232 are controlled just like any IntelliControl ICS source, with each product’s metadata and source information sent to the IntelliControl ICS keypads, touchscreens and two-way wireless iRemote controllers for ease of use and simplified control.
Finally, the system’s wizard-based PC IntelliFile 3 Configuration Software, which allows for the installation of the entire suite of IntelliControl ICS products in up to 30 rooms or zones in less than 10 minutes, has been upgraded to accommodate these new sources and has been improved for an even faster and more simplified installation. The software’s auto enumeration and configuration allows all four of the system’s user interfaces (the Single, Display, Contact and iRemote) to be installed and simultaneously configured. And IntelliFile 3 software makes any re-set up or editing of the system extremely simple and quick. Whole house audio is now beautifully simple.
