Square D/ Clipsal Takes Away Honors For Best Lighting Control Product, HAI for Best Security Product While iLuxe Innovation Garners Best Lighting Control Project And S&S Electric Wins for Builder Home of the Year
Warrenton, Va — March 18 — The Home Lighting Control Alliance, an industry consortium design to promote the value and benefits of lighting control, had four of its members recognized by the prestigious CEA Mark Of Excellence program.
Schneider Electric’s innovative Square D Clipsal SaturnTM Dynamic Labeling TechnologyTM (DLT) keypads won Best Lighting Control Product. Brad Wills, Schneider Electric Installation Systems & Control Business Director, states “This is an especially gratifying award considering the competition we face in this market. It is a real testament to our company’s design efforts and we are honored.”
Home Automation Inc (HAI) won Best Security Product for its highly flexible Lumina Pro with DSC Integration. “We are honored to have our The Lumina Pro with DSC integration win an MOE award,” explained Jay McLellan, President of HAI. “This product gives DSC customers and installers an affordable automation and lighting control option. With this seamless integration, DSC dealers can add lighting control, energy management, audio, touchscreens, and remote access and control through the telephone or over the Internet with the Lumina Pro.”
ILuxe Innovation took away honors in the highly competitive Best Lighting Control Project category for the Joseph Borkey Residence. Mario Salamone, President of iLuxe Innovation stated, “I would like to thank the HLCA for its support of my passion, creating unique lighting experiences for people using controls. They have been an invaluable resource and this award is in large part a reflection of them as well as me.”
S&S Electric won for Builder Home of the Year for the M/I Homes Easton Park Bordeaux Model. Shawn Smith of S&S commented, “For this showcase project, we introduced uniquely diverse technology upgrade options into the production environment to appeal to the mass consumer’s lifestyle demands, simultaneously increasing per home revenue for the builder.”
The lighting control awards portion of the program, which is sponsored by the Home Lighting Control Alliance, honors industry leaders in custom electronics products, services and installations that are instrumental in changing the shape of the connected home.
Industry trend setters were honored in three categories — Supplier, Training and Support Programs and System Integrators. The awards ceremony took place at the CEA Mark of Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday March 14 in Orlando Florida.
