GoSolarUSA Volt Solar Charger for iPhone

GoSolarUSA announced the Volt Solar Charger, an external battery pack that attaches to the iPhone 4 and extends its battery life using a top-of-the-line, built-in solar panel. This energy-efficient revelation is compatible with the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4. By capturing renewable solar energy, the Volt charges your phone's battery first before charging its own internal battery, nearly doubling your talk time. The Volt includes a larger battery than its competitors and is the only iPhone battery pack to include a reception corrector.

If you prefer to charge the Volt after sunset, it can also be powered by an included USB. Available in a variety of colors, the Volt will go on sale soon bundled with a one-year warranty.

“The new Volt Solar Charger is one of a very small number of white solar battery packs compatible with the iPhone 4, which we believe will give our device a competitive advantage once the Volt goes on sale,” GSLO President and CEO Tyson Rohde.

The initial run of the renewable-energy battery pack was manufactured in both black and white color schemes. Currently, the Volt is available only to the 100 winners of GoSolarUSA's online waiting list giveaway. GSLO mailed 100 of the first Volt Solar Chargers to reach American shores to the lucky winners earlier this week. It is the only solar charger known to GSLO that is capable of charging the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G with the same accessory. The Volt includes a larger battery than many competitors and comes with a USB cable for use in charging and syncing the iPhone indoors.
