The device is an ultra-slim, handheld portable controller with a touch sensitive screen that allows wireless Internet access and complete remote control of ELAN and third party supported manufacturer’s systems. This sleek 7.3 ounce, half inch thick, 5.7″ x 3″ control panel features a 4.13″ screen with a high resolution 800×480, 16:9 widescreen display. The high resolution means that even though the screen is only four inches diagonally, it is easy on the eyes because the displayed text and colorful graphics have five times the clarity of a personal digital assistant (PDA). The device debuts with traditional VIA! compatible graphics and also will demonstrate some of the new high resolution graphical schemes on the show floor at CEDIA.

The panel is compatible with all ELAN Multi-Room Controllers and provides simplified control of electronic systems, including music, movies, lighting, temperature and security, in all system zones throughout the home. It features real-time status display for lighting, temperature and security systems as well as instant ‘Now Playing’ information from music sources.
ELAN’s N800’s built-in web browser and robust WiFi link make it easy to connect to the Internet. The high-resolution, full color, widescreen display featuring scroll, zoom and pan options and a full screen touch keyboard make for effortless Internet navigation. The device’s web browsing capabilities allow users to surf the net, check web-based email, view video streams, stream Internet audio and more. The N800 also supports Flash Player, allowing users to view the most vivid content on the web while the device’s built-in stereo speakers let users listen to Internet-based audio while they’re browsing.
