EFX Releases New Hyperdrive Amplifiers

Oxnard, Calif., (June 1, 2006) – EFX, Scosche Industry’s award-winning line of high-end aftermarket accessories, today announced is it shipping its new line of HyperDrive amplifiers. Introduced earlier this year, the three new HD amplifiers boast increase power output, are CEA 2006 rated and feature a new gloss black cover plate with chrome mesh accents. Focusing on extreme output, flexibility, and impressive aesthetics, these amplifiers are designed for discriminating consumers who understand great value.

“Our new EFX power amplifiers can surpass anything on the market in performance and value – they have tremendous performance capabilities,” said Kas Alves, vice president, sales and marketing, Scosche Industries. “From mid-level to high-end, these amplifiers are at the top of their segment.”

The three new power amplifiers all feature a newly designed exterior cosmetic. Additional features include: low impendence 2 Ohm load capability; adjustable high pass/low pass electronic crossover; remote adjustable bass boost control on the HD1400; RCA line level output pass-thru; adjustable gain control; MOSFET power switching transitors; overheating and short circuit protection; line and speaker level inputs; and aluminum heatsink.

The HD1400 is a one-channel mono power amplifier that features 800-watts max power, (CEA 2006 rating of 300-watts RMS at 4ohms and 400-watts at 2ohms), and a signal to noise ratio of 80 dBA. The dimensions of the HD1400 are 2 7/16″ x 10″ x 13″. The suggested retail price of the HD1400 is $259.95.

The HD2250 is a two-channel power amplifier boasts 500-watts max power (CEA 2006 rating of 100-watts RMS at 4ohms and 125-watts at 2ohms), and a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The HD2250 is bridgeable to mono and also features a multi-mode capability. The HD2250 measures 2 7/16″ x 10″ x 10″. With a signal to noise ratio of 80 dBA, this two-channel amplifier is nicely priced at $179.95.

The HD4300 completes the EFX HyperDrive amplifier family. This four-channel amplifier reaches 800-watts of maximum peak output power (CEA 2006 rating of 65-watts RMS at 4ohms and 75-watts RMS at 2 ohms). The HD4300 is bridgeable to two, three or four channels offering maximum flexibility and has multi-mode capabilities. The HD4300 measures 2 7/16″ x 10″ x 13″ This amplifier’s signal to noise ratio tests at 80dBA with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The suggested retail price of the HD4300 is $249.95.

All three amplifiers are now available at specialty retailers across the country.
