DVIGear Introduces Expanded Line of HDMI Products
One of only manufacturers offering high-quality long-length HDMI cables
Chapel Hill, NC — December 15, 2004 — DVIGear announces the launch of its new line of HDMI connectivity products for HDTV and Home Theater applications. An extension of the original DVI standard, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a new connectivity interface that is rapidly becoming the standard interconnection technology for both HDTV sources and displays. HDMI cables are designed to carry digital-only video signals from sources such as digital cable boxes and DVD players to high definition displays. Unlike DVI, the HDMI standard also supports digital surround sound audio and bi-directional communications — all within a single cable.
Super High Resolution HDMI Cables
“The problem with typical HDMI cables supplied by most manufacturers is that they are economical solutions for short cable runs — typically less than 10 feet,” said Steven Barlow, President of DVIGear. “For many Home Theater applications, this simply is not long enough. Our Super High Resolution HDMI and HDMI/DVI cables provide unmatched performance with lengths up to 65 feet.” Unlike conventional cables which use low-cost 30-gauge, or 28-gauge wire, DVIGear’s Super High Resolution HDMI use thicker 24-gauge silver plated copper wires and a unique triple shielding system to guarantee absolute flawless performance at HDTV resolutions up to and beyond 1080p. No other HDMI cables on the market today offer this level of guaranteed performance.
