Dual illumiNITEs New Mobile Speaker Line
With Enhanced Performance and Cosmetics

— Speaker Selection Designed to Allure
Both Eyes and Ears —

Las Vegas, NV, CES Booth #5620, January 3, 2005 — In a move that confirms Dual’s belief that car audio speakers should be seen as well as heard, the company today announced a new slate of mobile entertainment speakers featuring its acclaimed illumiNITETM technology.

The new selection, which includes three (3) three-way models and four (4) bandpass subwoofers, is highlighted by the way in which illumiNITE, a proprietary technology, produces a stunning exhibition of illumination, creating a liquid blue glow around the grille, cone and surround. Unlike neon, illumiNITE is directional, so it can be focused at a fixed point.

“illumiNITE grabs the attention of anyone who sees it, making it a cool addition to a tricked-out car or truck while giving retailers an amazing tool for attracting consumers on the sales floor,” commented Gary Wilson, Product Manager, Namsung America, Inc., parent company of Dual Electronics. “But, just as illumiNITE stands out from competing products, the sound quality is what ultimately closes the sale.”

Scheduled to ship in late Q1 ’05 three new three-way models are easy add-ons for existing sound systems, elevating them to a new level of sonic excellence usually not associated with the price point. The XNP693 6″ x 9″ model (SRP: $99.99), features a frequency response of 59 — 22kHz, 5 — 70 Watts RMS, and 150 Watts IPP. The 6.5″ XNP653 (SRP: $79.99) features a frequency response of 70 — 22kHz, 2 — 60 Watts RMS, and 140 Watts IPP. The 5.25″ coaxial XNP553 (SRP: $59.99) features a frequency response of 90 — 22kHz, 2 — 50 Watts RMS, and 135 Watts IPP. All three models boast transparent sonics and wide soundfield that accurately communicates the depth and detail of well-recorded music.

Bright Light, Big Bass
In addition to their stunning blue illumiNITE glow, four new bandpass subwoofer system (two dual, two single) fill a car or truck with rich, tight bass that is deep but never distorted or “boomy.”

The new additions to Dual’s bandpass lineup include single and dual 10″ models (XNBP10S and XNBP10D; $119.99 and $199.99, respectively), and 12″models (XNBP12S and XNBP12D; $159.99 and $249.99, respectively).

The XNBP10S features a frequency response of 30 — 180 Hz; XNBP10D features a frequency response of 28 — 200 Hz; XNBP12S’s frequency response is 26 – 180 Hz; and the XNBP12D features a frequency response of 24 — 200 Hz.

Dual Electronics’ XNBP10D (L) and XNBP10S bandpass subwoofers. For more information, high-resolution images, product loans, and interviews with company executives, contact Adam Sohmer, SOHMER ASSOCIATES, LLC, 718-499-9161 (voice/fax), 347-521-0066 (cell), adam@sohmerassoc.com.
