Dual Electronics Announces New Car Speakers and Amplifiers

Updated Full Range and Component Speakers, Plus New Power Amplifiers Feature Stylish Illumination, Refined Sonics And Superior Value

Dual Electronics today announced a new line of automotive speakers and high performance power amplifiers that hit the accelerator for both style and sound, with sleek, elegant cosmetics and enhanced audio performance in the most wanted sizes and configurations.

“Music in the car is pure self expression, says Robb Groner, Vice President of Product Development, Dual Electronics Corp. “Dual’s new models make the automotive listening experience more dramatic and immersive, with components that not only enhance the sound of the music, but the whole vibe of the listening space.”

The new speaker models feature a sharp, eye-catching design that complements the driver array. The full-range TS models, which are available as the 6×9″ TS69 ($59.99/pair), the 6.5″ TS65 ($49.99/pair) and 5.25″ TS55 ($39.99/pair), feature a 3-way design and metalized silver propylene cones with long-throw characteristics that keep up with the beat during the most aggressive performances, with no distortion. The same design carries through with the TS5768 ($59.99/pair), which is available in the popular 5×7″/6×8″ fit and the 4″ TS45 ($39.99/pair). Like the other TS models, they feature (with the exception of the TS45) a ½-inch Mylar tweeter flanked by two dual Piezo tweeters that provide new levels of Dual clarity.

Commented Groner: “Feel free to turn the volume up to 11. The TS series is meant to be played loud!”

At the upper end of the musical scale, Dual’s new TS10 ($39.99/pair) tweeter can bring the music out to a clean 20kHz through its 1-inch Ferrofluid soft dome tweeter, which also lights up in illumiNite™ blue. The TS10 is exceptionally versatile, and can be mounted flush, surface or at a 30-degree angle.

For enthusiasts who want to extend their musical experience even further, Dual has the new SBP10 ($149.99) Bandpass subwoofer, a 10-inch powerhouse in a remarkably compact enclosure that’s easily added to existing sound systems. The SBP10 extends bass response down to 22Hz, with 750 watts of peak power handling, and can be seen working in bright blue through its full view Plexiglas window.

Rounding out the new speaker offerings from Dual are the new coaxial 2-way SX Series models, new leaders in value and performance. Available are the 6×9″ SX692 ($69.99/pair) and the 6.5″ SX652 (pictured, $59.99/pair). These speakers all feature extended high end response out to 23kHz that captures the detail of digital HD Radio broadcasts through a 1-inch Ferrofluid cooled soft dome tweeter. Solid-stamped steel baskets with shallow designs mean easy mounting in almost any situation, and generous power handling of up to 300 watts makes them suitable for virtually any head unit. Dual’s matching SD12 ($49.99) 12″ subwoofer extends the S-Series speakers down to a throbbing 28Hz response, through a brushed chrome PP cone that can handle up to 500 watts of peak musical power.

Dual has also introduced its new line of XPA power amplifiers. The 300-watt 2-channel XPA2500 ($79.99) and 600-watt 4-channel XPA4640 (pictured, $149.99) feature stylish cosmetics with extruded aluminum heat sinks and a full complement of convenient connection and configuration features. Both models have ample power for dynamic peaks and clean speaker output, and an improved design for greater protection from short circuits and thermal overload.

As always, Dual’s new speaker and amplifier lineups provide levels of features, functionality and performance that exceed expectations and provide superior value at every price point.
