D-Tools, Inc. Announces 2007 Design Awards Call for Entries

5th annual awards showcase exceptional residential and commercial projects created with D-Tools System Integrator 5 software

CONCORD, CA– AUGUST 10, 2007 — D-Tools, Inc., the worldwide leader in system integration software, today announced the 5th annual D-Tools Design Awards call for entries. The 2007 D-Tools Design Awards showcase the finest residential and commercial system integration projects created with the newest version of D-Tools’ award-winning System Integrator software. Winners will be announced at this year’s D-Tools University (DTU) in November.

Winning projects designed by some of most distinguished System Integrators will be selected from the following categories for this year’s Design Awards: Best Residential System, Best Commercial System, Most Unique System (residential or commercial), and Best Overall System.

Winners will be selected by the D-Tools development team and D-Tools Certified Partners. The winning entries will be judged on a number of criteria, including originality, most thorough use of D-Tools’ software functionality, overall visual quality of designs, plans, and schematics; and which projects best communicate the system designer’s vision.

Winners in each category will receive an attractive award for display in their office and a copy of D-Tools System Integrator 5 Standard — a $3,000 value — as well as significant prizes supplied by D-Tools Manufacturer Vantage Point (MVP) members. All entrants will receive recognition for their submissions with a prize package valued at $100.

D-Tools System Integrator enables systems integrators and custom installation professionals to create detailed projects managed with automated proposals, scheduling, pick lists, purchase orders, drawings and additional documents that streamline the integrated installation of audio and video products. By using a single, shared project file, system integrators and custom installers can download free product information from D-Tools’ comprehensive database of tens of thousands of products and their accessories, giving them the distinct advantage of designing systems using the most current product information, while saving hours of product research time.

“We are extremely excited to announce the 5th Annual Design Awards,” said Adam Stone, President and CEO of D-Tools. “Last year’s award entries really demonstrated phenomenal design and innovation. This contest gets more difficult to judge every year, due to the extremely high quality of each of the entries. We look forward to seeing what our users have been able to create with the all new SI5, and we anticipate this to be the most competitive Design Awards yet.”
