Turns the iPad Into a Crestron Touchpanel With Tactile Hard Buttons

Crestron today announced the iPaneL, which turns any iPad into a powerful, 2-way wireless Crestron touchpanel. The stylish, gloss black iPaneL features tactile hard buttons for quick access to the most used functions, such as volume up/down, mute, and a 5-way thumb pad for channel guide navigation. The iPaneL comes with a charging docking station, and future models will feature streaming media.

The iPaneL is sleek, lightweight and ergonomic to keep the fun and mobility of the iPad with the additional power and flexibility of a Crestron touchpanel. Roam around the house while selecting songs and adjusting volume without navigating through subpages, and instantly press a hot button to adjust lighting. Place the iPaneL on its elegantly contoured docking station for quick charging and storage.

The latest version of the Crestron Mobile Pro® G control app includes landscape rotation and gestures navigation for both Crestron and Prodigy® systems. A beautiful graphic template with user-selectable backgrounds designed for the iPad is available free from the Crestron website, or custom designs may be used to provide a consistent user experience on every mobile device and touchpanel.

“Every other control company has iPad apps, docking stations and wall mounts. We have all that too, but we went much further than that. This is an amazing product that instantly turns any iPad into a full function, wireless Crestron touchpanel. For just a few hundred dollars you can have a Crestron touchpanel.”
