–Global Technology Leader Is Bringing Its Longstanding Heritage of Excellence and Innovation to U.S. Market With Broad Range of Unique A/V Products —

MORRISTOWN, New Jersey, January 8, 2003 — Mission, the award-winning British loudspeaker manufacturer, today announced a major marketing push into North America with the launch of Mission U.S.A. The company will take full advantage of Mission’s longstanding heritage in loudspeaker design, while also expanding into new territory with unique, high-performance audio and video products that utilize today’s most advanced technologies. At CES, Mission U.S.A. will be introducing a full range of high performance home theater and audiophile loudspeaker systems, as well as new concepts in video and portable audio products (Booth # 16105, Hilton Suite HC 1310). Consistent with the company’s philosophy of providing lifestyle-enhancing home entertainment solutions, all new Mission products will reflect excellence in performance, design and utility.

Central to Mission’s U.S. marketing strategy is the development of its distribution base, including the appointment of a network of exclusive retail partners, some of who have carried Mission products in the past. In addition to being able to effectively merchandise Mission’s advanced product line, the company is seeking dealers who can offer custom-installation solutions to the most demanding quality-conscious consumers.

Mission will kick off its product line for U.S. distribution with a broad range of high-performance loudspeakers, including the distinctive elegante series, a new range of loudspeaker systems designed to meet the exacting demands of the multi-channel formats, including DVD-A, SACD and DVD video.

Elegante has been designed to work as well in 2-channel as it does in 6.1, to reproduce both music and movies and to reveal the full potential of all media. Mission will also be distributing its new volare series, a state-of-the-art lineup that includes bookshelf and floor standing models, all fine-tuned by Mission engineers for sonic excellence. The company’s new fs1 6.1 loudspeaker system, featuring NXT SurfaceSoundO technology, and new ceiling and in-wall speakers are also slated for the U.S. market.

In addition to its state-of-the-art loudspeaker lineup, Mission U.S.A. will be introducing one-of-a-kind video and portable audio products to U.S. consumers. Among these innovations is ViSound — a brand new concept in A/V display devices that utilizes a patented “screen-behind-the-mirror” design that combines the latest in Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display technology with patented NXT SurfaceSoundO loudspeaker technology. The company will also offer the TecSonic portable PA system, an innovative new concept in “on-the-go” audio that’s ideal for “road warrior” executives who want dynamic, room-filling sound for their presentations.
