ADTRAN Names Ted Cole New Vice President of Channel Sales for Enterprise Networks Division

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.–(January 31, 2007)–ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading supplier of networking and communications solutions, announced today that it has named Ted Cole as vice president of channel sales for the company’s Enterprise Networks Division. Cole joined ADTRAN just over one year ago as senior director of sales responsible for sales of routers, switches and IP telephony solutions to major service providers. In his new role, Cole will focus on setting strategy and growing ADTRAN’s sales to small and medium businesses through carrier, reseller and distribution channels.

Ted Cole has more than 20 years experience in sales, product development and management experience. Prior to joining ADTRAN, Cole served as sales director for Cisco Systems, Inc. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing a structure to effectively drive and manage the successful strategic alliance with the company’s largest resale partner. Cole has held a number of positions including senior vice president of sales for Hypercom Corporation, strategic alliance manager for Tandem Computers and director of product development for Applied Communications, among others.
