Features integrated touchpad with GlidePoint technology in a sleek, elegant design

Adesso Inc., a leading manufacturer of computer input peripherals, today announced the launch of another impressive addition to the companies’ ever-expanding line of keyboards, the AKB-440. Featuring an integrated touchpad with GlidePoint technology, this slick keyboard is compatible with Windows Vista, XP and 2000, as well as Mac OS X. Available at www.adesso.com, the AKB-440 has an MSRP of $59.99.

This sleek keyboard is not only stylish, but is a great addition to any deskspace. Encased in a metallic lining and a piano finish, the AKB-440 is equipped with various multimedia and internet hotkeys, providing quick and easy access to frequently visited Web sites and files. In addition, the GlidePoint touchpad is conveniently located to the right of the keypad, and includes a vertical scrolling and tapping feature and two touchpad buttons for right and left click mouse function. Back and forward, zoom in and out, and horizontal scrolling functions are also available by installing the GlidePoint touchpad driver.

The AKB-440 features the following:

  • Slim and stylish design with a metallic lining and a piano finish, providing improved tactile feel and accurate key response
  • Integrated touchpad with GlidePoint technology, eliminating the need for a mouse, providing additional, valuable desk space
  • Embedded multimedia and internet hotkeys, allowing users to control home entertainment functions directly on the keyboard

Adesso’s various product lines are available through Ingram Micro, Synnex and D&H direct vendors, eRetailers, including AMAZON, Buy.com, PC Mall, CDW, Insight, Newegg and TigerDirect.
