Space-saving Computers Updated With Dual Core Intel Processors and Faster Graphics

Acer America today expanded its line of Veriton nettops for the U.S. professional market with the Veriton N282G, a powerful new model for viewing HD content and the Veriton N281G, an update to Acer's first commercial nettop that's engineered for tackling office productivity tasks.

Small, flexible and highly practical, the new Veriton N281G and Veriton N282G ultra-compact nettops conserve energy, work space and due to a screw-less chassis, total cost of ownership. The new nettops come with Windows® 7 Professional and will be available via Acer's authorized resellers in October with prices beginning at just $399.

Veriton N282G-UD525W: Media Savvy for Superb HD Playback
The Veriton N282G-UD525W combines a powerful Intel® Atom dual-core processor D525 (1.8GHz), 2GB DDR3 SDRAM and NVIDIA® ION 2 graphics for efficient multitasking and showcasing full 1080p videos. The next-generation NVIDIA® ION graphics fuel the PC with more than 10 times the performance of integrated graphics. With the ION GPU, users can enjoy full HD video on sites like YouTube HD or from Blu-Ray discs. It also boosts performance of editing and converting videos and photos. Outfitted with a large 320GB hard drive, the Veriton N282G has plenty of storage for archiving large digital files.

Veriton N281G-UA425W: Smart Essentials for General Productivity
Ideal for basic office tool users as well as for kiosks, hotel front desks, call centers and office receptionists, the Veriton N281G-UA425W comes with an Intel® Atom processor D425 (1.8GHz), 2GB DDR3 SDRAM and integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, an excellent configuration for word processing, spreadsheets, email and Internet browsing. The 320GB hard drive has ample room for storing important files.

Intelligent Design: Flexible Mounting, Cable Management and Energy Efficiency
To maximize space, both nettops boast a unique design that can be mounted on a stand or attached to the back of various displays with a VESA mounting system. The VESA mount offers vertical adjustment, so users can access the power button and memory card reader from the top of the display.

The innovative design also features neat cable management, quiet operation and a screw-less chassis to ease upgrades and maintenance. A OneButton Recovery reset pinhole is incorporated for restoring systems and retrieving documents in case of a power failure. For security, the nettops include padlock and Kensington lock slots.

The nettops provide a mini PCI Express 1.1 x1 slot for expansion, six USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, high-definition headphone and microphone jacks as well as VGA and serial ports. A wireless keyboard and mouse, Gigabit Ethernet and embedded 802.11 b/g/n WiFi are also included.

The nettops are Energy Star qualified. Since they're so compact, they use less material and packaging than other PCs. They also offer Acer PowerSaver, which gives users the option to conserve energy and power on demand.
